In the SAP TM glossary
  • Freight unit A set of goods that is transported together across the entire transportation chain and the smallest unit that can be transported in SAP TM. Freight units are built from the items of forwarding orders and order- or delivery-based transportation requirements (in the Public Cloud, for example from sales orders) using freight unit building rules, and they can carry transportation constraints for planning.
